PPMC

PPMC was founded in 1984 in San Diego. Until several years ago, PPMC focused on administering contractual claims adjudication, utilization, reporting, and auditing requirements for several medical groups. However, since the installation of current management in 2012, PPMC has evolved into the platform it is today with the development and implementation of a sophisticated technology and analytics infrastructure and the documentation of clinical and operational best practices, both of which can be used to improve the effectiveness of physicians and economic relationships with payers.

As shown in the list to the right, PPMC is a scalable and powerful operating platform with comprehensive capabilities that provides a superior value proposition to both physicians and payers. PPMC provides the primary care physicians (“PCP”s) of an IPA with support needed to optimize the quality and profitability of care for their patients. This includes providing support with management services, claims processing, utilization management, case management, quality management, workflow optimization, and credentialing. PPMC negotiates payer contracts that optimize capitation rates and membership allocations for an IPA as well as develops preferred specialist and acute care networks that improve patient access and drive down the cost of care. PPMC’s capabilities also appeal to payers, which include the ability to efficiently recruit and credential new physicians and the expertise, technology and analytics to facilitate the care of patient populations in a profitable manner.
